A CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led and community-based coding and digital making meetups for youth. At CoderDojo Des Moines (CoderDojoDSM), each month students ages nine to 18 can spend time coding, building a website, creating an app or a game, programming a robot, or simply exploring technology in a less-structured, creative, and social environment.

CoderDojoDSM is a club, not a class, so students can come anytime and both new as well as experienced coders are all welcome! If needed, new coders will be given some direction with tutorials and help from volunteer mentors while experienced coders can work on ongoing projects, start something new, or help a friend.
